USTA LEAGUE

Players in the Southern Indiana Tennis Academy will have the opportunity to compete in our Thursday Match Play League. This program allows players to gain match experience, compete in a team environment, and play against others at a similar skill level.

Players will be placed on a team based on their skill level to help ensure balanced and competitive matches. A coach will help organize the team lineups each week to make sure matchups are fair and competitive for everyone involved.

Coaches will also observe matches throughout the league so they can better understand what players may need to work on during future training sessions and clinics.

• Dates: June 1 – July 16 (6 weeks total)
• Day: Thursdays
• No play date: July 2
• Location: Highland Hills Middle School
• 3:00–5:00 PM: Beginner / Intermediate Match Play
• 5:00–7:00 PM: High Performance Match Play

• Players will be placed on balanced teams based on skill level
• Each team will have approximately 6 players
• Teams will compete in weekly head-to-head matches
•  college-style team format, including:
• Singles and doubles matches
• Team scoring system (overall match winner determined by total courts won)
• Best out of 3 doubles and all 6 singles spots count for a point
• No-ad scoring 
• One set of doubles and 2 sets of singles played to 4 to keep matches shorter. 

• Players would remain on the same team throughout the league
• Teams would compete for a league championship
• Each team will have a "team captain" (coach or a parent.)
